A portion of our infrastructure was adversely impacted by the Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 issues in eu-west-2/az2 from 10:19 – 14:35. While our system utilizes multiple availability zones to ensure reliability, this particular service provider issue resulted in the affected servers taking longer to process requests but just under the threshold of us deeming them unavailable. As such, some requests to our application took longer to complete than expected. At 14:35 AWS resolved the underlying services issue which restored normal application performance.
